The Funky Monkey Lodge

The Funky Monkey Lodge has become a legend in it’s own lifetime as far as surfers are concerned. The shabby chic ambiance coupled with the great location and excellent staff have welcomed returning guests and new adventurers for well over a decade.

 

All bungalows have a private bathroom which is partially open to the sky for hot water showers under the sun or stars, small kitchenette, fridge, safe box and wood furnishings. Our bungalows are built with an excellent ventilation system, and each has a ceiling fan.

 

Beach Lodge for couples, families, solo travellers or groups, in the middle of a private jungle, just few steps from the beach.

Your Hosts

Gabriela Seidl is the owner of The Funky Monkey Lodge and along with her excellent team represent probably the best value for money lodgings on the Nicoya Peninsula. Shabby chic probably best describes this little hotel which is famous for it’s sushi nights – you know the food is great when the locals turn up to eat here.

There is a range of accommodations including private bungalows, apartments and shared dorm. Each year the list of amenities expands which is great for non-surfers as there is always something to do.
